Located only 1 mile away from the Belize Barrier Reef, and less than 9 miles from Belize City situated on Little Frenchman Caye is the tiny island paradise known as Royal Palm Island, nestled away from the 'hustle and bustle’ of city life and where the pace of life is deliberately slow.

As in the famous song line “If a picture paints a thousand words”, then we will let our images and those of our guests do the talking. As a new property we have not yet reached out to seek awards and recognitions for the service we offer or the pristine condition in which the resort is maintained. Our guests are already judges of our efforts and so far we have scored high in keeping everyone fully satisfied.

To fully complement what the island has to offer, we opening “Dream Valley” - a jungle lodge impressively situated overlooking the Belize River in the Cayo district. In a unique arrangement, all inclusive pricing of the two resorts will be paired, allowing for guests to move between resorts a day ahead or behind of their planned schedules subject to availability on the day of course. In 2007, Chantal Gerbe, originally hailing from France, bought little Frenchman Caye and embarked on a labour of love. She personally planned and oversaw development of the island, known as a ‘caye’ (pronounced key) in Belize. The original intention was to simply build a nice home for her and her husband to relax away from the city lights and to have some space to welcome friends and family.

After much thought she decided to open the resort to non family and friends as a private island retreat, and what you see today is her pride and joy presented in true island fashion for all to enjoy. As a resort it was not the intention to make it a bastion or refuge only for the super rich, but to build cottages that blend well into the ‘beach easy’ situation. Chantal has perfectly captured the balance of beach life, ample dining, unobtrusive friendly local service and all that visitors will need to feel at home. You will see personal touches and attention to detail from Chantal throughout the island.

The whistle of the wind and the gentle waves lapping on the beach in front of the cottages is the language Chantal wanted to convey to the Island's visitors. Camera in hand, every visitor snaps away happily at the many faces presented during the day, and with the change of seasons and as homage to the guests efforts, Chantal has insisted the resort's photo gallery be comprised only with photos taken by her guests. Vive la difference!

Deposits: BOOKING AND CANCELLATION TERMS Our resorts are very small and personable, and accordingly we need to ensure that we maintain our occupancy by instituting terms that we feel sure you will understand when you realize that the island only has 5 rooms and the jungle resort will only open with 6 rooms. A room can be held for up to 72 hours only (excludes peak times: Christmas, New Year, Easter, Presidents Week and American Thanksgiving dates.) – after this the room will be auto released. For multiple room reservations it will be at the discretion of The Reservations Manager. Once a room is requested within the hold period then a payment equal to 50% of the reservation total must be deposited through the on line booking tool on the resorts website or via wire transfer. The balance of 50% will be due 30 days prior to arrival date If the balance is not paid then the room will be released and the deposit forfeit For all peak times listed above, final payment is due 60 days prior to arrival or any deposit will be forfeit and the room released Cancellation As already explained, and due to the size of the resorts, we have to ensure terms are in place to protect us from losses however our “Doing our best to be fair policy” means that if something goes amiss and you find yourselves having to cancel, we will do our best to reschedule your vacation or offer a refund, if we are able to do so. We will also try to refill the space that you cancelled and if we are successful in doing this then we will offer you almost a full refund once the other guests have left the resort. We do however strongly urge you to take out the necessary insurance cover to protect your special trip to visit us. If you are able to claim on your insurance policy then depending on the circumstances we will see if we are able to offer to make up any shortfall in policy cover or premium cost (not to exceed the maximum possible refund due) once we have the correct documentary evidence at hand. Now we cant say fairer than that! During peak times as listed above 61 days + 80% of the deposit will be returned the balance retained by the resort for administrative costs 60 – 1 day prior to arrival – No refund will be due unless space can be resold in which case 80% of the amount paid will be refunded after the dates of the intended stay have passed, the 20% residue will be retained for administrative costs During all other times 31+ days 80% of the deposit will be returned the balance retained by the resort for administrative costs 30 – 1 day prior to arrival – No refund will be due unless space can be resold in which case 80% of the amount paid will be refunded after the dates of the intended stay have passed, the 20% residue will be retained for administrative costs No Shows and Early Departure In the event of a no show or an early departure, all monies will be retained by the resort unless the accommodation can be re-sold in which case a refund of 50% will be offered once

Payment Policies: Payments will be made online. An email will be sent to us and we will kindly set up the online payment where we will then email you back providing you with your online reference number for you to be able to make online payment and secure your booking with us. Online package payments includes taxes.

Arrival/Departure: Check in time and check out time is the same time meaning that the same time you check in is the same time that you will check out or before.
