Deposits: 25% deposit, Xmas 50% deposit
Payment Policies: PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS: A 25% deposit is required within 10 days to confirmt the reservation. Balance is due 60 days prior to island arrival. Payments made be made via bank transfer, or personal check. Personal checks should be made payable to Sunshine Properties and mailed to Braselton, Georgia address. A fee of 5% is charged for standard credit card transactions. A fee of 2.92% is charged for credit cards using Paypal.
Cancellations: Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be made in writing. If you cancel more than 60 days prior to your arrival date, 100% of all rental money paid will be refunded less a $100 fee. If you cancel within 31-60 days prior to your arrival date, 50% of your rent paid will be retained. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, 100% of your rental monies may be retained. However, if your cancelled dates are rebooked by another client, 100% of your rental monies will be refunded to you for the nights rebooked less $100 fee. As protection, trip insurance is recommended. Villa Owner/Sunshine Properties,or U.S. Agent do not issue refunds of any rental monies due to hurricane or other unpredictable natural occurrences. If you are unable to travel to the island for your scheduled rental dates because of flight cancellation due to weather conditions affecting the island, Villa Owner agrees to reschedue your rental for up to one year based on season and availability.
Arrival/Departure: Airport information: Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) is located on the Dutch side of the island. All commercial flights form North America and Europe fly in and out of this airport. If you are arriving on a French commuter flight form another island or by boat please contact our office to arrange alternate arrival procedure. All other clients please follow the instructions below.
Immigration: You will be required to go through immigration as soon as you enter the terminal. To gain entry into the island you will be required to have EITHER a valid passport OR a birth certificate with a raised seal and a photo ID such as a driver’s license. You will also be required to supply the address of the villa where you are staying. This information is provided above.
Baggage Claim: After you clear immigration you will enter the baggage claim area of the terminal. If you have lost luggage there is a counter inside baggage claim area where you can file a claim.
Meeting: A Sunshine Representative will meet you outside the Terminal. Your name will be posted.
Repeat Clients: If you are a repeat client to the SAME villa and are comfortable making your way to the house on your own, we can arrange to either meet you and give you the keys to the villa in some cases we can arrange for the maid to wait at the villa for you or arrange for the keys to be at the house or the car rental agency. If you are a repeat client to a DIFFERENT villa, you must be escorted by our representative to the villa.
Car Rentals: If you are renting multiple cars for your party, all cars must be rented form the SAME agency. This will save you a lot of time when you get to the island. Also, we often have several arrivals on the same day and cannot go to several agencies for the same party. We recommend that you reserve your cars with one of our local car rental agencies as they typically provide better cars, rates and service than the big name companies. If you need help with car rental agencies we can arrange this for you. Advance reservation is necessary, especially in high season.
