Our thatched roof cabanas are constructed from local hardwoods, stucco and covered by expert indigenous craftsman in the native style. Each room is decorated with Maya woven tapestries, locally made table & chairs, has a private bath with hot water and a deck overlooking the picturesque valley. There is no electricity in the rooms; kerosene lanterns provide lighting and an exotic ambiance. Mosquito nets are provided, though rarely needed, so you can leave your windows open and enjoy the cool evening breezes.

The Cantina is the center of the action. Electricity is available to charge your phones, cameras, computers or anything else you want to plug in. Limited internet service is available for no charge. This is a place to relax and enjoy the view of the mountains and the valley. The Cantina is also a general meeting area, bar and restaurant. We serve delicious home style cooking with local entrees; fish, barbeque, pizza, tacos, rice and beans, homemade tortillas, breads, cakes and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables many of which are grown right in the area. We can accommodate most dietary restrictions if notified prior to arrival.

Deposits: Refunds will be made to guests who provide Mountain Equestrian Trails with written notice of their wish to cancel. We recommend buying travel cancellation insurance. When cancellation notice is received 45 days or more (90 days for holidays) prior to arrival date, there will be a full refund less $25.00 per person cancellation fee ($50.00 per person for holidays). When cancellation notice is received 45-30 days (90-60 days for holidays) a refund of 50% less cancellation fee. When cancellation notice is received less than 30 days (60 days for holidays) there is no refund. Christmas and Easter Policy: Deposit of 50% room and tours must be paid within 14 days of making the reservation. No refund for cancellations made less than 90 days before the date of arrival. Booking Groups: A group deposit on 50% of total rooms must be paid immediately. Balance must be paid 45 days in advance of booking date.

Payment Policies: Please send a deposit of US $200 per person. We should receive this within 3 weeks after your request. Or send by Email, fax, telephone, or letter, your VISA or MASTERCARD number, expiration date, and the name in which the card is held. We also use Paypal.

If confirmation is not received in the form of cash, check or credit card, the room will be released 3 weeks after the request for reservation.

Payment in full by cash, check, or credit card must be received 30 days before booking date.
